Les Quatre Têtes via the Col de Doran

Take the good path which veers to the left towards the chalets and then continues up to the refuge. After a few minutes, cross the brook. Do not take the narrow path branching to the left (towards the plateau of Saix and Mayères) and follow the path signposted Col de Doran - 2178m - (or the Arêtes Noires). Before the final slopes up to the Col, go left and take the lowest gulley (to avoid an edge which can be delicate some years, from the Col des Verts path).
When you get to the dip at the Col des Arêtes Noires (2178 m), go to the left along the exposed edge up to the nearby top of the Quatre Têtes (2364m).
Descent: Return by the same route.
