The Plan de l'Aar refuge lies at the end of a hike that offers superb views over a wide mountain panorama when you arrive. The refuge is managed by "alpagistes" who take their livestock up to graze the mountain pastures during the summer months. In addition to accommodation, they also provide meals and packed lunches, and children will adore meeting all the farm animals around the mountain hut.
Reception is offered to you in a real mountain pasture farm.
Directions
From the centre of the village of Praz-sur-Arly, follow the signs to the hamlet of Tonnaz; leave your vehicle in the Tonnaz car park.
From Giettaz (Les Plans) head for Tête du Torraz.
From Megève, take the Jaillet cable car from the Col du Jaillet, Tête de Bon Journal, Tête du Petit Torraz.
