Refuge Le Châtelet d'Ayères

Small family mountain hut at an altitude of 1415m, backing onto the Fiz range and offering a superb view of Mont-Blanc.
Accommodation for 26 in 2, 3 or 4 bedded rooms.
Meals at Le Châtelet can be enjoyed on its terrace facing Mont-Blanc or its welcoming indoor dining room.

Directions

Walk :
-From Plaine-Joux take the direction of Lac Vert then Le Châtelet for around 50 minutes.
-From Lac Vert about 20/30 minutes (ask for the barrier code to access the car park).
-From Servoz about 2h30 from the station.
By 4X4 from Plaine-Joux descend to Lac Vert (ask us for the barrier code) then follow the forest track towards the Refuge.

Prices 2024

Half-Board for adults = 48 €
Half-Board for children (under 12 years) = 38 €
Holiday tax = 1€ (18 years old and above)
Hot shower = 2 €
Packed lunch = 12 €

Additional information

The evening meal is served at 7:30 pm.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 8:30 am.
Beds have pillows and duvets but a sheet sleeping bag remains indispensable. This can be rented (2 €).
All the electricity at the refuge is provided by its solar panels, so there is only a very limited capacity for recharging electrical devices.
